Pastoral Care Commission

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself." (Luke 10:27)  Loving your neighbor starts with loving yourself.  Here in Pastoral Care we come together as a parish family and demonstrate our love for this family. Our care consists of many activities initiated and run by various members of the parish.

Calling Committee

The purpose of the Calling Committee is to assist the Rector, Vestry and other ministries of the Parish by disseminating information to the entire congregation rapidly or soliciting assistance from all of the congregation in an orderly manner.  This is done by telephoning everyone in the congregation.

Fellowship Committee

This committee provides hosts for the coffee hours, potlucks during the year and punch on the lawn in the summer.  It also plans the annual parish picnic and other projects throughout the year.

Crisis Committee

Arranges for food for families suffering a major illness or death.

Hospital Visitation

This is done by people who are willing to visit members of the parish who are in the hospital.

Transportation Ministry

People who have a reliable vehicle and can take time out of their day to drive a member of the parish who needs transportation to a doctor or clinic appointment.  This ministry also provides transportation to elderly people who otherwise would not have transportation to do such basic things as grocery shopping.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Any one who knits, crochets or would like to learn can help create Prayer Shawls. Ten Prayer Shawls were knitted and handed out in 2010.

Senior Activities

“The Top of the Hill Gang” gathers periodically for outings and activities for those folks who are over 50.
